Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician with substantial experience in anesthesia, client communication, and a strong commitment to feline-friendly and low-stress handling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and monitor anesthesia for various procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Prepare surgical suites and maintain anesthesia equipment.
  • Collaborate with veterinarians to implement anesthesia protocols.
  • Educate clients on post-operative care and general animal health.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and anesthesia logs.
  • Employ low-stress handling techniques, including those specifically tailored for feline patients.
  • Restrain animals safely and compassionately during examinations and procedures.
  • Collect, prepare, and analyze cytology samples, interpreting results to assist in diagnosis.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in veterinary anesthesia.
  • Competence in collecting and interpreting cytology samples.
  • Proficiency in low-stress animal restraint techniques.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Experience in client education and communication regarding animal care.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Fear Free Certification or similar training.
  • Experience with advanced anesthetic techniques, CPR, and emergency protocols.
